A serious issue has been identified when upgrading the Samsung A055F (Galaxy A05) model to Android 15 on devices that have had their screen replaced with a non-genuine (aftermarket) part.
The Problem:
After the Android 15 update is installed,the phone will likely experience a critical failure, resulting in either:
· A permanent black screen (the phone may be on, but nothing is visible).
· A complete loss of touchscreen functionality.
The Cause:
This is believed to be caused by a new security or driver check in Android 15 that is incompatible with the hardware of many third-party replacement screens.
The Solution:
The only current solution is prevention.If you have a replacement screen, you must avoid installing the Android 15 update. Disable automatic updates in your settings until a fix is available.
